TEMPERED GLASS
Tempered glass is float glass that is heated in a furnace and rapidly cooled to increase strength and thermal resistance. It is about 4 to 5 times stronger than ordinary annealed glass and, when broken, shatters into small, blunt pieces for improved safety.
